Encouraging enthusiasm for the wedding of Prince Henry of England and Meghan Markle in Windsor on Saturday, May 19, 2018
In the shadow of Windsor Castle, Bianca Louzado chose a violet scarf with photos of Prince Henry of England and Meghan Markle, and two baseball caps with monarchist motifs.
„We’re big fans!“ Said this Indian woman as she handed one of the hats to her 10-year-old son.
Louzado came from Mumbai with his family to see the prince’s wedding with the American actress on Saturday, and went to the castle to buy some souvenirs.
„My parents came to Carlos and Diana’s wedding in 1981, I was only two years old, and since then we have followed them“ [to the royal family], said her husband Alan.
„We thought, ‚What better time to come than for this wedding?'“
Across the street, Carole Ferguson, a 63-year-old Californian executive, sunbathes on the terrace of a cafe while she calculates the best position to see the bride and groom on the carriage ride that will take place in this city one hour away west of London.
100,000 people are expected to attend Windsor on the occasion of the wedding of Prince Henry of England
More than 100,000 people are expected to fill the streets of Windsor for the wedding, and although Ferguson and his partner, Carl, are staying in the city-changing hotels several times for the price-he plans to start the day early.
„It will be the last real wedding in a good time,“ he said.
He likes the rites and history of the British monarchy, and also: „I love Enrique, he seems very happy, and Meghan looks like a good girl“.
Enrique is one of the most popular members of the royal family. His slips of youth, and the tragic loss of his mother Diana reached the hearts of many people.
„I think Enrique needs some luck in life,“ said Matty De Bruyn, a 68-year-old South African from Cape Town.
De Bruyn went to Windsor to see the previous environment, but will not come on the wedding day: „I think it will be an asylum.“

Windsor is a year-round tourist attraction, and many people had planned to visit it long before the wedding was announced.
„I’m not interested, we’re just on vacation,“ said Martin Kirchner, a 48-year-old German engineer.
In the streets of Windsor there is a strong presence of journalists and security forces in view of the wedding of Prince Henry of England on May 19
„But it’s interesting to see all these television crews,“ he said, as he amused himself by watching the cameras wait their turn to interview a woman wearing a fake crown.
Many neighbors saw the transformation of their city, taken by American televisions and heavily armed police officers.
„There’s no garbage, which is fine,“ said Steve Bradley, 59.
Some of his Brazilian friends have come to visit him for the wedding, among them Consuelo Almeida, who is very happy.
„It’s different for us, we do not have a queen or anything like that, and Meghan is a normal person, it gives you the impression that anyone could be her,“ said the Brazilian.
„I expected to see them say hello from the balcony, but I did not discover until yesterday that there will be no balcony,“ he said, referring to a scene that usually takes place in Buckingham Palace in London, not in the royal residence of Windsor Castle.
„But it’s fine, and, of course, I want to see the dress,“ he added.
– ‚Come in, girl! –
London tourists also want to celebrate the link.
Eric Márquez, 40, from Ohio (eastern United States), is one of the passengers on a tourist bus that offers tea while passing through emblematic places of the British monarchy, such as Henry’s house at Kensington Palace.
„Since I was 11 years old, I am that kind of American boy superfascinated by royalty,“ said Márquez.
An inhabitant of Windsor shows on May 15, 2018 a hat covered with badges of remembrance of the wedding of Prince Henry of England and Maghan Markle that is celebrated on May 19 in the Chapel St. George of Windsor Castle
„It’s the tradition … and, of course, the glitter and the jewels, for a gay it’s superinteresting“.
A traveling companion, Christiane Jennings, praises Markle effusively.
„I love her, I’m so proud of her, mixed-race, divorced, yes! Go ahead, girl!“
