The Spanish handball team lost 31-26 to Slovenia on Tuesday in the second phase of the European Championship held in Croatia.
The match was even until the break (13-12 for the Balkans), but the Hispanics ended up succumbing in the second half against the tough Slovenian defense.
Slovenia, which closed the European group II, took an advantage of five goals shortly after the start of the second half (20-15) and knew how to defend it against a Spain that was impotent in attack.
In spite of the defeat, Spain maintains its options to classify itself for the semifinals of the European, although for it it will have to win in the last party of the second phase (Wednesday 19h30 GMT) to Germany.
